A future determined by merit, not money
The partnership between Khan Academy and the College Board directly addresses one of the greatest inequities around college entrance exams: the culture of high-priced test preparation.
Now, for the first time, all students have the opportunity to practice for the SAT with completely free, best-in-class materials.
“The SAT should reward merit and hard work, and success on the exam should be available to all. There is no better statement of our commitment to making the SAT a world-class, high-quality, and fair test than partnering with Khan Academy to provide free SAT preparation for the world.“ David Coleman, President and CEO of College Board
What Khan Academy is building?
We will work in close collaboration with the College Board to create thousands of in-depth practice problems and instructional videos available spring of 2015 – a full year before the launch of the redesigned SAT.
Students will be able to practice at their own pace using Khan Academy’s personalized learning dashboard. The dashboard recommends exercises at each student’s level and shows progress, points, and badges as students accomplish their “SAT mission.”
