Nuclear Student Invites Young Generation to Go AbroadGreen Youth Abroad Collaboration Show 2014 Indonesia (12)

“The first Indonesian President, Bung Karno, ever said that thousands of parent will only dream, but a youth can change the world”, that was a sentences who has been delivered by Zumaro, one of Indonesian youth in his presentation at Green Youth Abroad Collaboration Show 2014 in Auditorium Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nuklir Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on April, 19th 2014.

Green Youth Abroad Collaboration Show (GYACS) 2014 is the first edition which has been held in Indonesia which was an international scale. It is the collaboration between Green Youth Generation and Student Executive Board of Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nuklir.  GYG it self is an international organization under the trust of Indian Government with support of United Nation with more than thousands of member.

‘Actually we were underestimated our self with this event, because of we got some obstacles about the participant and bureaucracy . But, fortunately with the kindness from the God, He allows us to hold this event succesfully”, said Satrio Pradana as project officer of GYACS 2014.

Looked by the preparation, obviously this event has already over of the orginizing committee’s. The idea of this event was told by long time, around las February.  However, the organizing committee who consist of twelve members held the intensive meeting around two weeks before agenda. This was because of Zumaro, as National Coordinator of GYG just return from India and met the President, Co-Founder and International Coordinator of GYG in the Global Youth Meet on last March. Then, he also has joined the quarantine of Indonesia – South Korea Youth Exchange Program in Bangka Belitung Island on the first week of April. Hence, the meeting and fixing agenda are held after he has more time in Yogyakarta.

A few days before GYACS 2014, excatly five days left, the organizing committee has a problem with participant. The registered participant under the allowed quota. But, fortunately, this event was participated by 130 participant who consist of 96 participants from internal of Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nuklir and 34 participants from external.  And the amazing one is there are almost 40 applicants has been rejected by the organizing committee because of over seat. This events was free, but the committee serve participants with accommodation along agenda and meals freely. Also the spectacular one for the participant is international certificate which signed by President of GYG, Balraj Arpit who staying in India.

“After arrived from India, I have a dream to invite my friends to feel how to survive in the other country. Then, by the help of Student Executive Board of STTN , we hold GYACS with the aim to increasing the spirits of Indonesian youth (especially nuclear student) to know and hold their dream to go abroad. Because I believe that, going abroad is aboout want and will. If there is a will there is a way”, answer Zumaro when he asked by one of the GYACS’s participant.

This event spectacularly running with focused on the aim, because the invited keynote speakers are those who has the capability to motivate by sharing their experience when they surviving in another country. These six keynote speakers also has their own background as long joined the event in abroad. For example Fahrunissa, that ever visited Singapore and Malaysia to join the anti cancer conference. She was accompanied by Risha Diah Ramadhani in those conference who also as keynote speaker of GYACS, delivered her proud because they are the only undergraduate and there was no other participant from Indonesia except them. Irsyad, who has opportunity to joined the event named Green Energy Summit in Philippines, also said that he felt lucky because from all over the participant, just him who came from nuclear area. They are the indegeneouly student of Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nuklir. Besides those three internal speakers, committee invited the external speaker, such as Arum Anggraeni Maulida, student of Universitas Muhammadyah Yogyakarta, who ever stayed in Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Netherland, France and Belgium. Then, two of the other speaker came from similar university, named Universitas Gadjah Mada. They are Qamaril Hazhiyah Adani and Muhammad Rizki. Qamaril ever joined summer course in France for twice and also selected as speaker in South Africa. Muhammad Rizki who just return from Philippines to joined the Asean in today’s world, also unbeatable in case of the sharing experience. Since senior high, he sent by the government to study in United Stated of America. Then, he active in the law’s event. It is indicated by  joining the event focussing on the law in Singapore and South Korea.

The keynote speakers successed to motivate the participant of GYACS. It is looked by the arguments of the participant who saud that they will make their passport and grab their dream to go abroad.

“We hope that, by this agenda, all of us can make a similar mind to learn more about whatever we’ve not got from our country and only will we get when we are going abroad”, said one of the organizing committee of GYACS 2014.

Green Youth Abroad Collaboration Show 2014, just one of so many events which handled by the youth from all over the world. Hopefully, there still many events which can improving the youth movement. Because the sustainable of nation is determined by their youth. Hence, youth are change maker, and as agent of change we have to be changed for better world.
